How Much Will Mediation Cost?

The cost of family mediation is usually significantly lower than using court proceedings to resolve family disputes. If you are addressing both finance and children issues we find most clients conclude mediation within 3 to 5 sessions.

Our Charges

These are our standard charges for mediation (which are inclusive of VAT). We aim to work flexibly and can adapt the standard session duration and adopt different mediation models to suit your needs:

MIAMs

The MIAM fee is £120 for a face to face session or £100 for a MIAM via Zoom video call. An additional £30 administration fee is payable if you request a Court form after your MIAM. Legal Aid is available for those who pass capital and income tests. We do not offer Legal Aid for Mediation, however we can help you to assess whether you will qualify for Legal Aid. Please let us know if you would like to check if you may be eligible for Legal Aid before booking your MIAM.

Session Charges

Following the MIAM, mediation sessions are charged at an hourly rate of £120 per person. We usually schedule 1 hour 30 minute meetings and you can therefore expect charges of £180 each per session. There is no additional fee for mediation in separate spaces.

Preparation & Document Charges

Work carried out between sessions is costed at £100 per person per hour. This includes document charges for preparing your Summary of Proposals/Open Statement of Financial Information/ Parenting Plan.

Session Notes

After each session we will send you a written summary of the matters discussed at no extra charge. This will include an action list as a reminder of enquiries to be made before your next session.

Child Inclusive Mediation

We will provide you with details for Child Inclusive Mediators including their availability and charges if you wish to arrange a session for your child/children.
